This term we have made some headway with the iPad Spelling Research Project and have now selected an app, which we hope will have a positive impact on student spelling development (Simplex Spelling). We have also rethought aspects of our English session to ensure that we are building in opportunities for this app and other apps to be used.
Our emphasis for the second half of this term is to focus on explicitly modeling workflows in relation to the iPad. Eg How do I get my movie from iMovie to Google Drive?
The iPad program is hugely motivating factor for students and a big positive in the Year 5 classrooms.
